What We Do

Individual Discipleship-Counseling

We offer Christ-centered, Biblically based, discipleship-counseling whereby the counselors view themselves as temporary assistants to the Holy Spirit. Understanding that we can do nothing apart from Christ, we endeavor to be branches or vessels through which the life of Christ flows and is recognized and welcomed to be the agent of change in our clients, providing the client is ready and willing to cooperate with Him. Our goal is to convey a way of freedom from mental and emotional symptoms, relational conflicts and other life stressors utilizing exchanged life principles. We are not psychotherapists and thus do not practice psychotherapy.

Small Group Discipleship

In groups of 3-12 people, exchanged life truths are taught, discussed and applied on a weekly basis. The Biblical study begins its focus on discovering the true nature of God in order that participants can then understand and live from their true identity as children of God. In dependence on the Holy Spirit, participants transparently and honestly share, learn, and grow from each other as revelation comes in the midst of living real life together. Developing disciples who disciple others results from hands-on practice in sharing diagrams and articulating the Biblical, exchanged life truths. Ultimately, participants exchange self-sufficiency for Christ dependency and allow Christ to live His life through them.

Seminars and Retreats

Life in Christ Ministries Team Members will tailor the format, timeframe, and content of the exchanged life truths to fit the needs of your group. The truths will not be altered, but they can be centered around a particular theme or focus on one or two concepts. Previous retreat/seminar themes include:

  • Our Greatest Purpose (Romans 8:28-29)

  • Finding Joy (Philippians 4:8)

  • Sharing God’s Story Through Your Story (1 Peter 3:15)

  • Rest (Matthew 11:28-30)

  • Perfected in Weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9)

  • Renew and Refresh (seminar)

Conferences

Conferences are a great introductory format to share the exchanged life truths. They offer an overview from beginning to end of what God’s greatest purpose for His children is and how He goes about accomplishing that purpose. Participants will learn the difference between living a strife-filled, self-sufficient life for Christ and living a joyful, victorious, fruitful life in/through Christ.
